Deleting a DiagNow account and associated data
This public page explains how to request the permanent deletion of a DiagNow account provided by TalentWide SA and how associated data is handled.
1. How to request deletion
You can delete your account from the DiagNow Web application or contact our team if you can no longer sign in.
From your DiagNow account
- Sign in to DiagNow from a Web browser.
- Open the “Account” tab.
- Under “My personal data”, open “Delete my account”.
- Enter your current password and the confirmation word shown.
- Confirm permanent deletion.
Open the account deletion settings
If other active members remain in the organisation, you must transfer ownership first. If you are its only active member, deleting your account also closes the organisation after any records subject to retention have been archived separately.
Without account access or from the Android application
Write from the email address associated with the account and include that address and your organisation name. We may request identity verification before processing the request.
Request deletion of my DiagNow account
Never send your password, recovery codes or sensitive documents with your request.
2. How we process the request
- We verify that the request comes from the account holder.
- We process a complete request within no more than 30 days after identity verification.
- Web sessions, registered devices and mobile tokens are revoked on the server to prevent further access or synchronisation.
- We send confirmation when server-side deletion or anonymisation is complete.
- Deletion is permanent and access to the account cannot be restored.
3. Data deleted with the account
Except for the data that must be retained below, we delete or anonymise:
- the account profile, including name, email address and authentication data;
- personal preferences, settings and personal signature;
- active sessions, registered devices, mobile access and server-side tokens linked to the account;
- support conversations and messages directly linked to the account, unless exceptional retention is required by law or for security;
- notifications and password reset links linked to the account;
- the local link between the account and its analytics identifier. Earlier events already pseudonymised in PostHog follow the project retention period or a verified erasure request;
- other personal data specific to the account that is not required by the organisation or a legal obligation.
4. Data that may be retained
Deleting a personal account does not automatically delete business data owned by an organisation. The following retention rules apply:
| Data | Retention period | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Clients, reports, photos, documents, appointments and other organisation business data | For the term of the organisation’s contract, then according to its deletion or export instructions | Continuity of shared records and the organisation’s responsibility |
| Issued invoices, payments and supporting documents subject to retention | 10 years from the end of the relevant financial year | Swiss accounting obligations, including Article 958f CO. On closure, these records are placed in a sealed legal archive that preserves their link to the former organisation. Drafts and ordinary quotes are not automatically subject to this period |
| Logs strictly required for security, abuse prevention or the defence of legal claims | Only for as long as necessary for that purpose or for the applicable statutory period | Security, fraud prevention and legal obligations |
| Earlier pseudonymised analytics events dissociated from the local profile | Replays expire after no more than 30 days; events follow the project retention period or a verified erasure request | Product analytics carried out with consent; no new collection after revocation |
| Offline copies stored on an Android device | Until the app data is cleared or the app is uninstalled on the device | The server revokes access but cannot remotely erase a device that does not reconnect |
| Residual copies in technical backups | Until replaced under the applicable backup cycle | Continuity, restoration and security; they are not returned to the live service except where restoration is necessary |
Retained data is no longer used to provide access to the deleted account or for marketing. Where possible, it is dissociated from the profile or anonymised.
